Jaw Crusher: An All-rounder for Crushing across Industries
Date: 10/10/2026 Print collection
The jaw crusher, often nicknamed “Tiger Mouth” for its powerful crushing capacity, is indispensable in mining, building materials, highway, railway and other industries. It easily handles hard ore with a compressive strength ≤320 MPa as well as bulk materials, making it an all-rounder for multi-industry crushing operations.
Application Scope of Jaw Crushers
- Mining Industry: Jaw crushers are mainly used for rock crushing and ore processing in mines. They can crush rocks and ores of varying hardness, such as granite, limestone and iron ore. As key equipment for primary ore crushing, jaw crushers occupy an important position in mining.
- Construction Industry: In construction, jaw crushers are primarily used for the treatment and reuse of concrete waste. They break down construction debris and demolished building materials including bricks and steel bars to produce reusable aggregates. Aggregates processed by jaw crushers can be used to manufacture new concrete products or for road paving.
- Chemical Industry: Jaw crushers also enjoy wide applications in chemical engineering. They crush various chemical raw materials and products such as coal, coke and chemical fertilizers, serving as critical equipment for primary raw material crushing.
- Other Industries: Beyond the above sectors, jaw crushers are widely adopted in power, water conservancy, environmental protection and other fields. For example, they can crush waste and process waste tires.
